Hej friends,

I went back to work recently after a long break. It has been pure pleasure to have time for nothing & everything, to be in charge of my own time - no appointments, schedules or any musts. It's a very inspiring & relaxing way of living. But nothing lasts for ever & reality catches up sooner or later. On the other hand, I'm very grateful for having had the opportunity to take a long break.

Reblogged for Wegner!  One of the reasons I love Hans Wegner's Wishbone Chair is that it melds seamlessly with modern interiors and with rustic interiors, as shown here.

How awesome is this DIY? We love ribbons and wonderful DIY ideas that are much easier then they look! We'd probably pick something a but more subtle in the colour palette, but really anything is possible!

For this DIY makeover, you'll need:

  • Drum-style fabric lampshade; shown is a 13-inch shade (shade height is 9 inches)
  • Approximately 10 yards 5/8-inch-wide satin ribbon in first color of your choice…

I love this DIY lampshade, and not because it matches my logo.

House Tour: A 19th Century Schoolhouse in PA

I thought it would be a lovely change to do a house tour of an old, stodgy 19th school turned house in stodgy Milford, PA.

Oh, how looks can be so deceiving!

Did I just blow your mind?  Good.  So the story is that these two New York photographers — Richard Renaldi and Seth Boyd – decided to move into the Milford Academy, an actual 19th century school, in Milford, PA, and they paired with their two architect friends — Andrew Magnes and Koray Duman – and remade the interior into something so deliciously modern and fun that I had to show you!
